Avalanche 6.1 - How to Create Custom Report to show Time of Discovery
Is there any way to report on the Avalanche property "Time of Discovery" in the same way that "Last Contact" can be reported on?
In the 5.3 reporting guide it indicates that the "LastContact" property is reportable from the MobileDevice table so my assumption is that the "Time of Discover" property was added to this same table in Avalanche 6.X. I have tried multiple attempts at guessing what the Column Heading would be for Time of Discovery, including TOD, ToD, FirstContact, TimeOfDiscovery, TimeofDiscovery, Discovery, and DiscoveryTime, all to no avail.

TelnetCE Host Type WEB is not Licensed on MC9190?
Hi Friends!
We have 5pc Motorola Symbol MC9190-G on Windows CE 6.
We want to use TelnetCE 7.3.146 or 7.0.94 (that installed) as Industrial Browser. But if I use Host Type "WEB", Demo-License message appear.
I read post Pre-Licensed Terminal Emulation Client for Motorola Devices, at top of page I saw NOT WEB Emulation.
We need to buy license for use TelnetCE as Industrial Browser?

Is there a way to emulate page up and page down for motorola MC3190 ?

I can't use any combination of keys or the up/down specific keys.

Does Velocity support function keys?
Hello,
I'm doing an initial implementation and have had issues with the function keys not working with the industrial browser. I'm using SAP ITS mobile and my test RF is a 'PSION Teklogix Workabout Pro3'.
Are the function key issue's that are prevalent in the industrial browser resolved in the Velocity browser?

Dear Support,
Is it possible for Remote control or other avalanche product to awake a mobile terminal that has turnned off and send a beep?
The situation is that a mobile is forgotten in the wifi area and to find it the customer would like to make it beep remotelly!

"Scanner Selection" Do you want to use the scanner "Bluetooth SSI Scanner Driver" instead of the Default scanner "External SSI"
I have to hit no to continue with the connection Profile.

telnetCE licence error
Hi,
I have a problem with a Datalogic gun, The gun won't get a licence on licensing server.
- Licence server was up and running (other gun was ok with licence) ;
- licence server port was open ;
- gun was able to ping licence server ;
- re-image with a new OS firmware ;
- TelnetCE 7.2
Anyone have a idea for this issue?

Zebra MC3200 TE 2.0.1.4540 has the \0D Scan Terminator enabled but doesn't send \0D after barcode
After scanning a Code 128 sample barcode, the input waits for user to press enter even though the Scan Terminator is default \0D. I was not able to reproduce this and the Zebra Associate only has one device to test. The user tested 2 VT Host Servers.
Logging of the session shows no \0D after the barcode data.

What VT escape sequences are supported?
Hi there,
We have a legacy custom-written telnet server to which several MC9090 devices running Wavelink TE are connecting to.
We need to update this server to support configuring the scanners on the devices.
There was a document we came across a few years ago called "WL-VTReferenceGuide.doc" which listed all the supported VT escape sequences - however this no longer seems to exist. The relevant section was"WAVELINK CUSTOM ESCAPE SEQUENCES".
For example, it contained entries such as:
ESC % Pt ; Pl F | Enable/disable Fixed Screen Mode. Pt and Pl are 1-based coordinates. |
| ESC % Pn ; Pf ; Pi L | Turn on/off the scan LED on the terminal |
We successfully used the information from that list to enable/disable the scanner with commands from the telnet server. However we can longer find this document, nor any similar list. And, unfortunately, we only recorded the ones we actually used in our own internal documentation.
We are now after some further escape sequences to configure the scanner from the telnet server - does such a list exist and can we have access to it?

Enabling 802.11a on Skorpio X3
Hi, we'd like to try out using 5ghz wifi on our Skorpio X3 guns. I can set the Radio Mode to ABG rates full in the Summit Client Utility and contact the Avalanche SE server over our 5ghz network, but as soon as the config is pushed to the gun the default setting of BG rates full is restored and the gun is no longer able to see the 5ghz SSID as it is not looking in the 5ghz range. I assume it's achieved via Custom Properties in the Network Profile / WLAN Settings area but I don't know what the appropriate Property Name and Value should be set to. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Launching TelnetCE from another application freezes after close.
WM6.5, Motorola MC9190
I have a basic .Net app as follows which launches TelnetCE.exe as follows:

Launching TelnetCE.exe and then exiting it the first time works fine, however if i try to launch TelnetCE.exe again, quit the application or do anything else the device freezes when another window is displayed/changed (such as when TelnetCE.exe is relaunched) or the applications window is closed.
The above application is a very baisc one I created to diagnose this problem with a more complex application.

How to update Server Avalanche IP address?
Hi All,
We need to move our Avalanche server to a new site so the IP address will be changing. We have 250+ devices currently pointing at the exising IP address.
Could you please advise how we could migrate from one IP address to another with minimal impact?
I have been looking at the "Network Profile tab, Manage IP Address Pools" - If I specify multiple IP addresses here will the devices use this list to replace the "Server Avalanche IP" in the enabler?

Motorola 3190Z don't read all the RFID tags
Hi...
with your help I found some solutions to my problems and started to use our Motorola 3190Z handheld, but now I found another little problems with the tags number read by RFID.
I use Telnet CE connected to an iSeries, and I created a program on it that show a video format where there's a field over write the tags datas read by RFID.
I start the program and than enable the RFID reader. All OK!
Start the trigger for to read 138 tags in a cartoon box with 400mm. X 400mm. X 600mm. dimensions and the handheld starts to read them. Every tags readed go to my field on video and automatically wrote in an iSeries database, but here start the problem. It stops its reading operations sometimes at 128, 134, 135, 136, and sometimes the right 138.
I'm near the box, I tried over it, aroung it, at a distance maximum of 50mm. but nothing change. It doesn't read always the right number of tags.
I don't know if the problem is about the passage of the data from iSeries video to database, too slow for the cache of the handheld or if there's a way to calibrate better the reader.

F5 function key is not working in SAP ITS screens
Hi experts,
We are using SAP ITS RF and wavelink browser on intermec CK3x devices. We are having an issue with F5 function key. When F5 is hit, the screen just refreshes and it does not do the intended action. It looks like the key code "F5" is not being recognized by ITS template.
In the ITS template, we have maintained the following meta tag for "F5".
<META HTTP-Equiv="OnKeydispatch0x74" content="Javascript:setFKey('5');">
The keyboard test gives the following key codes for "F5".
F5 = 3F00 under the keyboard test
F5 = 0074 under the windows keyboard test
Am I missing something.?
