Cannot install Wavelink Avalanche SE 5.3.0
I purchased a Datalogic Falcon X3 scanner, which comes with a license for Avalanche SE. I successfully installed it on a computer for testing and then sent the device to a site along with the docking cradle. When trying to install the software on a computer in that site so that I can remotely manage the device, it fails during the Postgresql Super Account portion. It tells me the password does not meet the system security requirements. I used the exact same password that I used on the test computer. I even disabled the password complexity requirements for the remote PC and it still fails.

CAB package keeps installing on cold boot
I have a CAB package (set to silent install) that installs each time the MC9190's are cold booted (warm boot does not do this). Is there a way to stop this behavior once the package is delivered to the gun? TK

F3 key create Ò in VT100 terminal emulation on MC9090G
We use the Wavelink TE to connect to a barcodesystem . The emulation serverlanguage is set to UTF8 to show some german characters correctly.
Now the developer of the barcodesystem created a menupoint where we have to send a F3 to get a list back. When hit the F3 key on the scanner I get a Ò character.
So the question is how to send the F3 ?
In a terminal from a PC / Mac it's working

Java Issues with Avalanche 6.X and newer versions of Chrome
If you are having issues configuring Packages in Avalanche 6.X using Chrome it is likely due to the fact that as of Chrome Version 42, NPAPI is no longer supported by default.
Enabling NPAPI in Chrome Version 42 and later
As of Chrome Version 42, an additional configuration step is required to continue using NPAPI plugins.
In your URL bar, enter:
chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.
Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.

Move Avalanche server

What is to do when we want to move AvalancheMC to another server?
Old server has Server 2003 installed, we have to move to Server 2012.
New server has another IP adress.
Got a valid backup, but not sure if all that we need to restore on a new server is in there.

Web console is not working after Apache Tomcat 7.0.42 patch
I am running AvalancheMC v 5.3.1. I receive the following error when using the web console at http://{servername}:8080/AvalancheWeb/login.jsf:

Wavelink Starting Automatically
Hello
We have a Motorola Symbol MC9090 and from some days ago the WaveLink software started to start automatically and I don't know how to return to the Windows Mobile main screen to access the other programs. I tried to restart the machine but it didn't work. Now the only screen it shows is one written: No Host Connection <Enter> to Connect
Follow a screen shot attached to this discussion.
Anyone knows how can I get out of this screen?

Can I run multiple installations of ConnectPro?
Different than having multiple instances - I want to have multiple installations. Currently, if I have multiple instances representing different sites, all sites have to take a hit when I restart services. If I have each site with its own installation and multiple installations on the same server I can avoid this.
Is this possible?

Avalanche Network Profile "Failed to add the new Fusion profile." / "Failed to create the wireless profile." errors.
When I initially setup my MC9090 CE 5.0 Scanner I used a registry file to load the network settings. I am now trying to use Avalanche Network Profiles. The problem I am having is that I keep getting "Failed to add the new Fusion profile." / "Failed to create the wireless profile." errors when the network profiles are downloaded to the scanner. I have tried deleting the existing Fusion Profiles, experimenting with different encryption and authentication schemes; however nothing seems to address the problem.
Any thoughts?

The domain is in its own box (not like domain\username)
Encryption: TKIP
IP management: DHCP

Speakeasy and Avalanche
Hi
A client use Speakeasy on WT40N0 terminal from Motorola.
They asked for a need to desactivate on the same device Speakesy functionnalities and then re use it when needed.
What we have done, we defined two profiles one with Speakeasy packages and another one without voice. The telnet profile also is modified to not use voice with the unvocalized profile.
Upon scanning barcodes, the property of the terminal change and the the device trigger from one profile into another one. This works well enough, we just have a problem with automatic deleting of orphaned packages , we have to look at it, this is not the main problem.
The main one, is pop up windows appearing on the device attached to this post.
How is it possible to manage the way these messages appear, when and desactivate/activate these messages?

Avalanche 6.1 - How to Create Custom Report to show Time of Discovery
Is there any way to report on the Avalanche property "Time of Discovery" in the same way that "Last Contact" can be reported on?
In the 5.3 reporting guide it indicates that the "LastContact" property is reportable from the MobileDevice table so my assumption is that the "Time of Discover" property was added to this same table in Avalanche 6.X. I have tried multiple attempts at guessing what the Column Heading would be for Time of Discovery, including TOD, ToD, FirstContact, TimeOfDiscovery, TimeofDiscovery, Discovery, and DiscoveryTime, all to no avail.

What VT escape sequences are supported?
Hi there,
We have a legacy custom-written telnet server to which several MC9090 devices running Wavelink TE are connecting to.
We need to update this server to support configuring the scanners on the devices.
There was a document we came across a few years ago called "WL-VTReferenceGuide.doc" which listed all the supported VT escape sequences - however this no longer seems to exist. The relevant section was"WAVELINK CUSTOM ESCAPE SEQUENCES".
For example, it contained entries such as:
ESC % Pt ; Pl F | Enable/disable Fixed Screen Mode. Pt and Pl are 1-based coordinates. |
| ESC % Pn ; Pf ; Pi L | Turn on/off the scan LED on the terminal |
We successfully used the information from that list to enable/disable the scanner with commands from the telnet server. However we can longer find this document, nor any similar list. And, unfortunately, we only recorded the ones we actually used in our own internal documentation.
We are now after some further escape sequences to configure the scanner from the telnet server - does such a list exist and can we have access to it?

CTRL + G does not pass to Telnet Server?
On our MC9190's using Wavelink we are unable to use CTRL + G, it brings up a details window. If we use a different client it works as it should by passing the command to the telnet server. It seems Wavelink may have a built in shortcut for CTRL+G, anyway to remove that? We are using VT220 emulation.

Enabler 5.3-44 not installing Wireless Profile during "config only"
Motorola 'Out of the Box" is disabled. Clicking "Config Only" won't install wireless profile. The MC9190G gun was returned from Zebra Repair. Installed Fusion r33.. Please advise.
