I have a problem with a terminal Mc3190 when working with TelnetCE V7.2, when you work 15 minutes is disabled the login and need to login again to continue working.
Possible is that the version that is to installed to the terminal is incorrect or to that problem could be due?

Recently I have a problem with Motorola RDT MC9090 with Wavelink Terminal Emulator on them.
Problem description:
Wavelink TE application is gone on 3 MC9090 RDT.
I have check:
- application folder,
- program files folder,
- windows folder.
No sign of Wavelink application. It is gone from the RDT drives, where it was previously installed.
Previously my collogue simply re-install wavelink application, but this is not a solution for me, because it seems like the problem is frequently repeating.
Some details about my hardware and software:
Device: Motorola MC9090
OS: Windows CE 5.00 (build 1400)
Terminal software: probably wltn_mot_9000_ce50_7_0_92_as

I have a batch of 20 MC55 devices that are inconsistently connecting to our fresh Avalanche SE installation. I typically get ERROR: Agent not responding from the Enabler status window. The devices will show up in the "Mobile Device Inventory", but many of them have a "Generic" model name, and are not receiving software packages or enabler configurations. I have already followed this article: http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-28061 without any success.
Suggestions?

I’m a programmer who is working on your Wavelink Telnet CE product and I would to ask you about a problem in scripting code.
My customer own some Motorola MC319Z handhelds and asked me to configure a connection to their As400 and read some RFID Tags and put the datas in a blank field of their program.
I did the connection without any problem, as a 3477-FC emulator and entered in the emulation parameters to enable RFID functions, in ENABLE RFID key with Yes, in ENABLE KEY with <0x79> the F10 key in hexadecimal, in INSERT MODE with Auto-Detect, and USE TRIGGER with Yes.
I tried using it and when I arrive at the right screen of the program I press F10 on the keyboard of the handheld (not the keyboard of the emulator) and RFID start to read when I push the handheld read button, passing to my screen the tags read. It works correctly!
I also tried to create a script that, when reached the right screen of the program, it press automatically F10 using the code KEYPRESS_KEY <0x79> my F10 key but, it don’t works, this don’t enable the RFID reader.
When I did it manually it works perfectly and I receive a message on the screen that told me the number of tags read and put the tags on the field I use, but if I try to use the script, when KEYPRESS-KEY work, it do only a beep but no one message about RFID enable and create problems about the use of the emulator keyboard.
My script is a simple:
Script( RFID_MAN )
Profile( As400 )
Activate( From_Menu )
Keypress_Key( 0x79 )
Return
But it don’t press the F10 like I could do on the handheld keyboard. There’s something wrong in my code?
I would to enable RFID reader by script code and after the tags read end disable it.

i need to install multiple *.cab files for an own application. This app needs to have dotnet CF2 and also the dotnet CF3 helpfiles.
The app itself is also a *.cab file. For update reasons, it is useful to create two packages, one with the CF2 and CF3 cab files
and one package for the app only. i want to reboot the device after the app is installed, but it is not possbile, because the app
is faster installed than CF2 and CF3. so the installer is interuppted by reboot. i set reboot type to yes to get a window with 10 sec
additional time, but its not enough. is there a way to run packages dependent so the system will only reboot after the last packages
is installed? it seems that all packages runs in multitaks mode...

Hi, we'd like to try out using 5ghz wifi on our Skorpio X3 guns. I can set the Radio Mode to ABG rates full in the Summit Client Utility and contact the Avalanche SE server over our 5ghz network, but as soon as the config is pushed to the gun the default setting of BG rates full is restored and the gun is no longer able to see the 5ghz SSID as it is not looking in the 5ghz range. I assume it's achieved via Custom Properties in the Network Profile / WLAN Settings area but I don't know what the appropriate Property Name and Value should be set to. Any guidance would be appreciated.

We need to move our Avalanche server to a new site so the IP address will be changing. We have 250+ devices currently pointing at the exising IP address.
Could you please advise how we could migrate from one IP address to another with minimal impact?
I have been looking at the "Network Profile tab, Manage IP Address Pools" - If I specify multiple IP addresses here will the devices use this list to replace the "Server Avalanche IP" in the enabler?

Hi Folks -- trying to force a radio mode (802.11b/g/n) on MC55's but don't see a way to do so in the GUI. Is this something that can be adjusted in a PRF file manually or as a custom property in the WLAN settings of the network profile?

I'm trying the demo version of the Telnet CE client in a M3 Mobile Sky device.
The scanner works properly with other aplications (for example the Word Mobile), but when I launch the terminal emulation it doesn't works (there is no response when pressing the scanner buttons)
I would appreciate any help you would provide.
I have done some initial testing using Apple's VPP on AOD.
Everything is setup, and works, however the devices that I've tested on have previously been setup with a restrictions Payload that removes both the Apple and iTunes stores. After the devices were setup with VPP, I noticed that both store apps were visable again, despite the Restrictions Payload being tampered with.
So my question is this: Am I not able to remove the Apple Store and iTunes Store apps when utilizing VPP?

We are testing an Intermec CK3R running TE with 5250 emulation. The issue is that by default TE only have 3 fonts (Curier New, Tahoma and Windings). In order to achieve a better user experience we need to load more fonts to the emulation, but we do not find the way to do it.

Hello Everyone,
After the upgrade to Avalanche Mobility Center 5.3.1, we're having some issues with User Management.
The Issue is, Suppose opened the User Management from the FET Console and closed.
Then if we again try to open, it doesn't open at all. We need to log off and login back to open user management.
Also one more issue is when we're trying to add a user to the group in User Management. It revokes back all the changes made. No changes are being saved.
Same issue with in IE too.
Please advise

it is working with a few limitations. after uninstalling the package through wavelink, the custom properties are still set on the device, so if you reinstall the applications the system will not work as expected. how can this properties be deleted ? Also be sure to write "Custom" case sensitive, otherwise you will find a new entry at the end of the properties tab on your console with the name "custom" !
so how to delete this custom registry key ? adding a new one is no problem !

I went on mine right screen with an input field and called manually the script I created, but without success.
It seems to launch it, but when I push the trigger it don't read and start the laser scanner reader, not the RFID reader.

with your help I found some solutions to my problems and started to use our Motorola 3190Z handheld, but now I found another little problems with the tags number read by RFID.
I use Telnet CE connected to an iSeries, and I created a program on it that show a video format where there's a field over write the tags datas read by RFID.
I start the program and than enable the RFID reader. All OK!
Start the trigger for to read 138 tags in a cartoon box with 400mm. X 400mm. X 600mm. dimensions and the handheld starts to read them. Every tags readed go to my field on video and automatically wrote in an iSeries database, but here start the problem. It stops its reading operations sometimes at 128, 134, 135, 136, and sometimes the right 138.
I'm near the box, I tried over it, aroung it, at a distance maximum of 50mm. but nothing change. It doesn't read always the right number of tags.
I don't know if the problem is about the passage of the data from iSeries video to database, too slow for the cache of the handheld or if there's a way to calibrate better the reader.
