I've migrated Wavelink Studio to a new server at a different private IP, I'm using Symbol WinCE devices to connect.  I was able to edit the connections on the devices to use the new IP, those work fine, I'm having a problem though when the Wavelink app is completely closed and reopened it tries immediately to connect to the old IP then times out and fails.  I can then open the correct connection and it connects ok.  I can't figure out how to change the IP that it's trying to connect to upon launching the app.

I bought two MC9000, one MC9090 and one MC9060. And I need check or installa on PDAs:

 

Wavelink Emulator Telnet installed. With WEB adapter. with Windows CE 5.0 running WaveLink Telnet CE Version 7.0.x

Hi, i have just loaded 10 units with pre-licensed software (mc9090, wm5, ver:7.0.133)  for a customers and the last unit he powers up is asking for a licence? Can someone advise why?

It's possibile to use the "sceen panning" function with a phisical key on an FALCON X3 in VT200 emulation ?

 

The customer need sometimes to see the right part of the screen pressing a key.

I have a Symbol MT2090 and installed the Wavelink Telnet CE 7395 client.  I connect to the terminal session ok but have found that the ESC key does not work to go back. I also need to configure Yes/No buttons. Any help would be most appreciated, thank you

We have purchased several WT41N0 devices in the last 4 months.  It seems like ALL of them are having issues with the telnet client in some way or another.  The user will be in the middle of a telnet session and them emulator suddenly closes.  OR, another issue is the scanner.  The user will be using the emulator and the scanner suddenly quits working.   Exiting and going back into the emulator fixes it. 

 

Has anyone had these troubles and how did you fix?

I'm having problems with my Web session login in a Wavelink TE 7.3 version. I already have many Motorola MC3100 devices with prior version (7.0) and works fine. With the old version the login is done in one second, but with the new one, takes more then 4 minutes and most of the times gives me an error. Working directly with the IE also works fine. The configurations in both sessions are the same.

 

I've tested the 7.3.91, 7.3.146 and 7.3.159 and all the versions don't work as expected. The version working OK is the 7.0.111.

Hi All,

 

We are experiencing some trouble with our Wavelink Avalanche 5.3 server: We use the TelnetCE application package and push that to our Psion VH10f terminals. In that package is also the URL to where the industrial browser should go. When changing the URL to a new one the server deleted that package from all our terminals and marked the package as "orphaned". Nothing else but that URL was changed to the application package. When i open the list (see screenshot) of orphaned packages to delete, the industrial browser package is in the list.

 

 

I found out that there are 3 reasons why a package would become "orphaned":

* if it has been deleted from the Avalanche Console,

* if the software profile it belongs to has been disabled,

* or if the package has been disabled.

 

Well i checked and confirmed all 3 situations:

 

The package "criteria" is also an correct since it has always worked, didn't change and i double checked if it is correct at this moment.

 

Does anybody have a clue why the server is claiming it to be "Orphaned" or is there any way to force the server into believing that that package shouldn't be "orphaned". We also tried rebooting the server but the problem persists although it shouldn't be orphaned.

Hello everyone.

 

I have a problem with a terminal Mc3190 when working with TelnetCE V7.2, when you work 15 minutes is disabled the login and need to login again to continue working.
Possible is that the version that is to installed to the terminal is incorrect or to that problem could be due?

We are looking at implementing MDM but our network admins are wanting to put some stipulations on items.

 

One being can we limit the number of devices that a single user can enroll once they have the tiny URL?

also wondering how other companies are using wavelink and certificates?  We want to try and tie in some kind of two factor certificate or wireless settings i am curious how others are handling the devices connecting to their internal networks

Hello

 

We have a Motorola Symbol MC9090 and from some days ago the WaveLink software started to start automatically and I don't know how to return to the Windows Mobile main screen to access the other programs. I tried to restart the machine but it didn't work. Now the only screen it shows is one written: No Host Connection <Enter> to Connect

Follow a screen shot attached to this discussion.

 

Anyone knows how can I get out of this screen?

I'm on Avalanche MC version 5.0.

 

I'm using the Test Scan Gun, which has previously been connected to our Test Instance with Avalanche 5.3.  I updated the Avalanche Server Address on the Connection Tab of the Avalanche Update Settings window back to our Production Server Address and then rebooted the device.

 

In the Mobile Device Inventory the device is not shown.  The device is connected as the TelNet sessions are successful.  I'm just not sure where it's connected, to the existing 5.0 Server or the Text 5.3 Server.

 

Help please.

When I test the scanner from within windows the barcode data scanned displays correctly however when I use the TelnetCE Program Diagnostics Scan Test no data is displayed. Has anyone any ideas please?

I tried to make auto login in TE 7.3 on motorola mc9190 but the process stop at password and I need to enter it manually. The user name and the command that came after passing automatically, only the password needed to enter manually.

I tried to make auto login in TE 7.0.159 on motorola mc3190 with Wavelink Webbrowser but i don't find the field "Auto Login" in the Hosts editor. And the laser is disabled because the Authentication windows is a popup.

How can I unchecked the "turn off device if not used for" box in the registry.

I tried the battSuspendTimeout below but device keep turning off if it is not in used.

i need the Terminal ID from Enabler written to a text or ini file on the flashdisk

on WindowsCE  6 mobile Devices. Goal is to set the local Ident of devices unique !

 

The Wavelink key is located in the registry on the CE 6

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wavelink\Avalanche\State]
TerminalID =hereismyname

 

Out of the box the Windows CE 6 Device Name is

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Ident]
Name =hereismyname

 

i need to privide the Terminal ID as Name, so

Windows CE Name and Terminal ID are identical !

Hello,

I have a clientwhohas 35unitsMC9090Gterminalandneeds to establisha quick waytosetall terminals,but without usingprograms installed onPC.Itry to make acopy-paste.

This OS version incorporates V7.0.12 of TE. My intention is to set the Config of Telnet in 1 terminal (hosts, config.emulation, etc. ..), and extract the necessary files, then copy them to the other terminals.

Believedto have foundthe5 filesresponsible forthe configuration of theTE (Config.tim , HostCfgs.bin , HostDffs.bin , S24cfg.bin and Termcfg.bin),but I thinkI'm missing something, but randomly, when I make a Cold Start in the terminal, the Host I disappear. I can not find what are all the files and / or folders to be able to do what I intend. My goal is to configure 1 terminal and extract  the need to copy to the other terminals, and configuration persists even doing a Cold Start.

 

Couldanyone help mesolve this problem

Hello,

 

We recently received several new devices with Windows Mobile 6.  With these new devices I am unable to get the Esc key to register when in an active Terminal session.  I brought up the keyboard test,  and no value is returned when I press the Esc key.  Regular letter and number keys are returning the proper codes.  If I press the Esc key on the emulation keyboard the proper value does show up.

 

I have gone over and over the configuration settings without success.  I've compared the working device settings to our new device settings and can't find any differences.  It seems like I must be missing something simple.  Any assistance is much appreciated.

Wavelink TelnetCE version:  7.3.79
