We have a Motorola Symbol MC9090 and from some days ago the WaveLink software started to start automatically and I don't know how to return to the Windows Mobile main screen to access the other programs. I tried to restart the machine but it didn't work. Now the only screen it shows is one written: No Host Connection <Enter> to Connect

Anyone knows how can I get out of this screen?
Is Wavelink Industrial Browser html5 compatible?
Different than having multiple instances - I want to have multiple installations. Currently, if I have multiple instances representing different sites, all sites have to take a hit when I restart services. If I have each site with its own installation and multiple installations on the same server I can avoid this.
Is this possible?
I am looking to push down a Motorola Fusion update through Avalanche to a set of MC9090s. Normally the Fusion updates are .CAB files which I am very familiar with in terms of packaging them into AVAs. With the .PKG file, on the other hand, I am lost. I can get it loaded onto the device just fine but don't know the correct process for actually getting it to run.
Ideally I would want it to run like a .CAB file with the Noaskdest and noui flags set so that it runs silently in the background without prompting any user interaction. Is there any way to accomplish this?
If I use DataWedge, I can scan an I2of5 barcode. However, I would like to try and allow Wavelink to handle the scanning so that we have control over when the scanner is available (too many scans happening in quantity fields). This one barcode type has us stumped because we cannot get Wavelink Studio to recognize it. One oddity is that the only way to get DataWedge (or the sample scanning program) to recognize it is to set the length from 1 to 40. For some reason, it is initially set to 14 to 10. I am setting the min and max length when trying to enable it with the AddBarCode() method, but it will still not read it. Is there anything else that we can do other than turning DataWedge back on? It's becoming a PITA when they scan the item twice and one time is on a quantity field and it starts spitting out a million labels or tries to receive a million units. Obviously, having complete control over when the scanner is enabled will get around that, so that is the direction we would like to go, but our largest vendor uses I2of5 and so we must be able to read that as over 50% of our inventory is already barcoded for that.

Our warehouse logistics are handled through an internal ERP application ensuring a proper flow of the reception and distribution of auto parts.
For this purpose we use around 110 mobile terminals with barcode scanners (RF Guns) of which 50 are deployed in the central warehouse.
The models used are:
Motorola MC2100
Datalogic Falcon X3
Datalogic Skorpio
In the central warehouse we are currently using 50 Motorola MC2100 scanners with Windows CE 6.0 operating system. As an emulator we are using Wavelink Corporation’s Telnet version 7.3.63 for Motorola MC2100 terminals.
Lately, the following problem began to manifest itself:
On a daily basis every Motorola MC2100 device suffers one or more unexplainable telnet session blocks.
When this happens, the terminal cannot interact with the application any more, the keyboard stops working and after a few minutes the display shows the "disconnected session" message. The terminal’s log doesn’t record any loss of connection to the access point.
The Access Points are all newly acquired from Motorola in order to ensure maximum compatibility between them and the mobile terminals.
Our question is:
To what extent the Telnet emulator may influence these session blocks, taking into account the following:
1. Telnet version
2. Certain parameters of the telnet configuration
3. “Avalanche Enable” configuration – we are using the Avalanche platform version 5.3.0.572 to manage our terminals
4. Having a large number of sessions (high load) on an Access Point.
Can you please help us with any idea in tackling this problem? Is there a log monitoring tool that can help us to identify the cause of these problems?
The situation is very critical and this seriously influences the process of delivery and reception of goods.

I've tried several TelnetCE versions on my MC9200 CE7 handheld computer, but keep getting prompted to enter a license when TelnetCE opens. I've tried four different versions and it's always the same result. I can send the "Application Only" and it installs fine, but as soon as I send the "Config Only" it displays the license error the next time it reboots.

I encountered a problem with the installation of the Industrial Browser software. I must install it in a folder called /Application to not lose data when it´s restarted. But when we apply the license, appear an error message. If we install it in default directory, it works properly!
What can i do?

Hi, I have a problem using the TE 7.3.196 on a MC92N0 CE7 OEM version 00.33.06.
When I install the client for the first time the keypad works good, ie pressing the combo BLUE + ENTER the client produce the 000A scancode.
If a reboot the device the client is still configured but the keypad layout seems to be different, infact if I press BLUE + ENTER I get the scancode 000D instead of 000A.
Do you have any reported problems regarding this issue?

My problem is that the profile setting is corrupted after the device has been used several weeks.
Anyone knows the reason and how to solve it.
Problem with Autologin feature which will stop and wait for user to press ENTER instead of executing command automatically.
Setup:
Wavelink TelnetCE - Host Profile - Autologin:
Name Prompt: "login:"
Name: "myuser1"
Password Prompt: "password:"
Password: "mypwd" (displayed as "*****"
Command Prompt: "domain:"
Command: "mydomain.com"
Result of connection test:
Autlogin correctly sets and executes login and password but for domain prompt only presets value "mydomain.com" and does not execute it (waits for user to press ENTER).
Expected result:
Return/ENTER is sent to host to execute the command.
Remarks:
The same problem occurs also for standard command (e.g. D:\MyApp\start.bat) when domain prompt is removed in the server setup.
Enviro:
Host: Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit, Georgia Softworks Telnet Server 8.05
Client: Motorola MC9190G, Windows Mobile 6.5, Wavelink TelnetCE 7.3.237 (latest available)

The Wavelink key is located in the registry on the CE 6

Out of the box the Windows CE 6 Device Name is
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Ident]
Name =hereismyname
i need to privide the Terminal ID as Name, so
Windows CE Name and Terminal ID are identical !

it is working with a few limitations. after uninstalling the package through wavelink, the custom properties are still set on the device, so if you reinstall the applications the system will not work as expected. how can this properties be deleted ? Also be sure to write "Custom" case sensitive, otherwise you will find a new entry at the end of the properties tab on your console with the name "custom" !
so how to delete this custom registry key ? adding a new one is no problem !

Hello, I have some Motorola MC9100 and I'd like to take over the configuration from one device to another device. I heard that I could copy the Termcfg.bin from the application\wavelink folder (via Active Sync) to another MC9100 but that don't work. If I looked in the Termcfg.bin I didn't find my configuration profile.
In which file is the configured profile from my Wavelink Telnet (Version 7.3.40) saved?
Another possibiltiy to take over the profile should be the Wavelink TelnetCE Configuration Utility but I can't find a download. Is this software only available for
maintenance agreement?

We are using Motorola VC5090(CE5.0) and MC3190(CE6.0) at warehouse, through Wavelink 7.3, we connected to end user Telnet SSH Server
We discover after a certain time, the packer who is currently working and using MC3190, the wavelink clients would "jump out" and the messages prompt shown "connection reset by peer", it cannot recover, it is need to relogin again. So, it got annoying and heavy complain on us
Under the same network, VC5090 is good and no disconnected problems. We go through the network packages by Wireshark and found the followings.
1) How can we avoid the messages jump out and disconnect which is "Connect reset by peer" at MC3190?
2) Can we setup on MC3190 to transmit the packages by SSHv2 just like VC5090
We got a long complain from end user, look forward for kindly technical expert to help us on this, really thank a lot.
