Hello.

 

i tried to schedule the update to the newer Enabler 5.3.77. But the system ignores the Scheduled Time, tried different options, no one locks the client not to update.

to check i have different groups so if i move a device between the groups, i can see what client or update is applied.

 

so i added the new Enabler to the Group Location Properties, the package is still disabled. inside the package i select the software package Enabler and click edit to change the deploy time.

At Delayed Package Activition there are different options. but non of them works !

 

x  Delay activation until  date and time in the near future. eg. 13.05. 9:45  actual time 9:30

 

saved and after console is finished with deploy mode enabled the package, client immediately installs the package if someone clicks connect or update or the system is back online (network connect established)

 

same happens to any other option possible to delay. none of this works.

 

any help would be appreciated

How can I get preset configs pushed to the handheld without manually having to configure each device?

 

For example, we setup key macros for our devices.  Instead of manually setting these up in the software, we have scanned a QR Code to get these setup on the device.  This worked fine with the TC70 because it had a 2D imager.  How is this supposed to work with a device that has a 1D beam?

My customer uses web application.

I'm playing with the viewport.htm file configured like this

 

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.2, maximum-scale=1.2, user-scalable=no" />

 

 

Problem :  the customer appilcation appears on top right of the screen and is not centered.

 

Any idea ?

Hello, I have some Motorola MC9100 and I'd like to take over the configuration from one device to another device. I heard that I could copy the Termcfg.bin from the application\wavelink folder (via Active Sync) to another MC9100 but that don't work. If I looked in the Termcfg.bin I didn't find my configuration profile.

In which file is the configured profile from my Wavelink Telnet (Version 7.3.40) saved?

 

Another possibiltiy to take over the profile should be the Wavelink TelnetCE Configuration Utility but I can't find a download. Is this software only available for

maintenance agreement?

 

I hope you can help me :-)

Hi,

 

I would like to hide the input panel on a Zebra MC9200 CE7.0 handheld.

 

I did some settings, but the input panel still exists if I click to an input field. The hardware keyboard doesn't work - but this should be active.

 

Does anybody know the correct registry settings?

Currently on Avalanche 5.3 and no real complaints.   I'm planning 2018 projects and upgrading to 6.1 was on my list. 

 

All of our devices are Windows.   Approximately 1300-1400 devices.

 

 

Do I get any real benefits of upgrading to 6.x?

I have a menu screen that is a list of items with cursors next to each item. The original (green screen) requires the user to type an X into the field to select the item. However, when they are in that screen they can type "90" and that causes a log out event to occur. They have asked me to add a "log out" button, but when I send the "90" from the logout button on the screen I get a "Field exit required" error. I assume this is because the cursor is sitting on one of the menu fields. Any thoughts on how to get a "90" to trigger a logout?

How to disable "App Center" at startup ?

 

In the Enbler, I use the register key "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SVCStart\1\Configurations\Display\@=1" but it changes nothing.

 

Can you help me?

Problem with Autologin feature which will stop and wait for user to press ENTER instead of executing command automatically.

 

Setup:

Wavelink TelnetCE - Host Profile - Autologin:

Name Prompt: "login:"

Name: "myuser1"

Password Prompt: "password:"

Password: "mypwd" (displayed as "*****"

Command Prompt: "domain:"

Command: "mydomain.com"

 

Result of connection test:

Autlogin correctly sets and executes login and password but for domain prompt only presets value "mydomain.com" and does not execute it (waits for user to press ENTER).

 

Expected result:

Return/ENTER is sent to host to execute the command.

 

Remarks:

The same problem occurs also for standard command (e.g. D:\MyApp\start.bat) when domain prompt is removed in the server setup.

 

Enviro:

Host: Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit, Georgia Softworks Telnet Server 8.05

Client: Motorola MC9190G, Windows Mobile 6.5, Wavelink TelnetCE 7.3.237 (latest available)

Hello,

 

I am trying to configure the scanner in TelnetCE on a WT41N0. From my understanding, I can do this through emulation parameters, but when I run wavelink product configuration I don't see that option. See below.

What am I missing?

I'm using a Datalogic Skorpio X3 and I have a web page in html5 and with Velocity I only see an icon and with other browsers the information appears.If I refresh the page the Velocity stop responding.

Avalanche 6.1.106.496 in-premise

Windows10 P.C used for development/testing

Self signed certificate installed

IIS enabled and configured

 

I am in the process of trying to create Payloads for a customer looking to deploy Zebra TC8000 on their Avalanche in-premise implementations and during my initial testing on my local installation as per above I am finding that having enrolled a device I can download APK software payloads using Manifest URL successfully to the device (Zebra TC8000) but cannot get File Payloads to download.

The Enabler log file shows what appears to be a problem with resolving the Avalanche server Host name to its IP Address?

Device payload TC8000-Vel-Settings has failed to download to the device for reason Unable to resolve host "HP-NOTEBOOK": No address associated with hostname.

 

My understanding is that APK software payloads are handled by the SDS server and file downloads via Tomcat?

The log shows that the Enabler is unable to resolve the Avalanche server name to its address which I find odd. To get its name it must knows its address??

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I have Motorola MC3190 and TelnetCE 73197. I need select UTF8 in "Display Language". It is demand for correct display Russian language in the programm. I do not see UTF8 in list "Display Language".

How i do it?

Hello

 

We have a Motorola Symbol MC9090 and from some days ago the WaveLink software started to start automatically and I don't know how to return to the Windows Mobile main screen to access the other programs. I tried to restart the machine but it didn't work. Now the only screen it shows is one written: No Host Connection <Enter> to Connect

Follow a screen shot attached to this discussion.

 

Anyone knows how can I get out of this screen?

I want to programmatically change the background image of the Avalanche Enabler. I am using the CustomBackground registry key successfully to change the Avalanche Background, but I want the ability to switch between two different backgrounds while Avalanche is still running.

I am running a Regmerge inside my application to toggle between two different registry key values to point to two different .bmp backgrounds. The issue I'm having is that the Avalanche Enabler doesn't automatically update the background image unless it is restarted or refreshed in someway. If you relaunch the enabler manually or if you push an update to the device then it will process the registry key change and update the background image. I figured out if I call "\Program Files\Wavelink\Avalanche\monitor.exe /update" after calling the regmerge the background will switch automatically as desired.

 

 

The issue I have with this approach is that it will trigger a check in to the Avalanche server which I want to avoid. Is there another parameter call I can use with either the enabler.exe, monitor.exe, or avainit.exe that will trigger the Enabler to refresh itself while it's running?

I am using the Velocity Client with a Web project loaded version: 1.2.0.2741.

 

I mapped my custom website and when I try to POST a login the page will just refresh. I verified from the server that there is no POST even attempted from this client device (Zebra WT6000).

 

I am curious what web browser behinds the scene is this Velocity application using to render the pages and does it support POST functionality? I havent tried any other REST methods, but this is concerning the page reloads everytime I attempt a login.

 

I tried digging through documentation on some guidelines/best practices, but I couldn't find anything related to the web portion of the software.

 

As a test I pointed the project to google.com and attempted a login and I got this "Connection Error" for checking a cookie, then the app crashes. The applications goes back to the "Host Profiles" screen. This might be something unrelated or it might correlate with my issue.

 

I also pointed the stock web browser on the device and I am able to login just fine without any issues, so something is telling me that the Velocity application is the culprit.

 

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

I have downloaded the app, which comes up as an unlicensed version. No setup for decoders. I need ITF enabled. How do I license it and will this solve the problem?
