Enabler for x86 Android (Panasonic FZ-A2)
I have loaded the current WLAC_UNI_ANDROID_6_1_0_127.apk onto a Panasonic FZ-A2 Android device that I believe has an x86 processor.
It works but when Synching with Avalanche any .APK app downloads are not automatically installed - you have to pull down the screen notification to allow it to install and allow access to various parts of the system etc. The .APK is then installed (i.e. Velocity)
Are there any plans to release an x86 Enabler for Android, or if not is there any workaround to disable the notification and auto-install?

Create a Logout button
I have a menu screen that is a list of items with cursors next to each item. The original (green screen) requires the user to type an X into the field to select the item. However, when they are in that screen they can type "90" and that causes a log out event to occur. They have asked me to add a "log out" button, but when I send the "90" from the logout button on the screen I get a "Field exit required" error. I assume this is because the cursor is sitting on one of the menu fields. Any thoughts on how to get a "90" to trigger a logout?

I need a script that takes the last 6 numbers of the mac address and puts it in the auto login screen.

If anyone has an answer I really need this ASAP. This is a huge project that I know I have seen work in TE and did not know it doesn't work in Velocity through the standard login.

install Wavelink on MC9090
Hi All,
Brand new to this. I have my MC9090 hooked up to my Server via USB in the cradle. I installed Wavelink StudioCOM and when I hit click on Load Client it asks for a Wavelink Client File. Don't know what that is but am I doing this right and if so where do I get this file?

Enabling 802.11a on Skorpio X3
Hi, we'd like to try out using 5ghz wifi on our Skorpio X3 guns. I can set the Radio Mode to ABG rates full in the Summit Client Utility and contact the Avalanche SE server over our 5ghz network, but as soon as the config is pushed to the gun the default setting of BG rates full is restored and the gun is no longer able to see the 5ghz SSID as it is not looking in the 5ghz range. I assume it's achieved via Custom Properties in the Network Profile / WLAN Settings area but I don't know what the appropriate Property Name and Value should be set to. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Wavelink Scripts to READ and WRITE to a file from within Wavelink TE and SpeakEasy
I was wondering if there is a script that could open, read and write data to a file by the user performing actions such as key presses.
I was looking through the scripting guide but couldn’t see anything that stood out.
Could you please advise who to speak to about this for help?
Also in regards to Speakeasy:
I noticed that they have a command to launch an application. Can we launch an application with arguments?

Velocity CE problem
Hello,
we are experiencing problem with VelocityCE running on Datalogic Falcon X3+.
We installed appropriate client from Wavelink download page.
We also installed VelocityCE server on Xeon machine with Windows 2012 server OS.
Device reaches velocity server but nothing is displayed, after some time there's "Reconnecting" on the client.
We checked log on the server and it looks like that there's some problem with java script on the page.
That web page loads normally on IE or Chrome, from the machine where Velocity server is installed.
When we tested few months ago it worked without problem, so we can't figure out what is going on...
VelocityCE server log is in attachment.

Update MAC address of a device in Mobility Center?
Hello,
One of our WT41N0 terminals came back from service with a tag that said, "We have changed one of the receivers within this unit." The "receiver" appears to be the wireless adapter, because the tag lists its old MAC address, along with a new MAC address. In Mobility Center, I see the device with its' old MAC Address, and I want to update it to the new MAC. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to find how to do that. I would bring up the properties of the device, and it shows the old MAC, but it doesn't give me the option to edit it.
Can someone explain how and where I can make that change, so I am able to re-establish a connection to the server with the device? Any help is appreciated.

How do I force a re-install of an APK on an Android Device?
I have two scenarios where I would like to be able to force an APK update to a device.
1) An updated version of an APK has been released, but the actual APK version has not been incremented.
2) An existing APK deployment has become corrupted in some way and I need to force a reinstall.
Is there any way to do this in Avalanche 6.1 SP2? I have a sinking feeling that this is not possible. I understand that Android is not going to allow a direct installation of the exact same APK package name and version on a device, but I don't understand why the Enabler, as a Device Administrator, can't first uninstall the application and then reinstall it. Avalanche supports a "Force Package Synchronization" functionality for the legacy WinMo/CE devices so I'm surprised their isn't anything comparable for Android devices.

Velocity WEB: Trying to capture a picture with camera and upload it on a website
Hey,
i'm using a ZEBRA TC55 and the Velocity WEB for Android (Version 1.2.110.17249).
In our web application we capture and upload pictures by using html5 file upload api / javascript:

When using a chrome browser on the device it works perfectly.
The following dialog will show up and we can take a picture and upload it.
When using Velocity WEB nothing happen...
Anyone got a solution for taking/upload pictures on a website by using velocity web?

How to take over a Wavelink configuration
Hello, I have some Motorola MC9100 and I'd like to take over the configuration from one device to another device. I heard that I could copy the Termcfg.bin from the application\wavelink folder (via Active Sync) to another MC9100 but that don't work. If I looked in the Termcfg.bin I didn't find my configuration profile.
In which file is the configured profile from my Wavelink Telnet (Version 7.3.40) saved?
Another possibiltiy to take over the profile should be the Wavelink TelnetCE Configuration Utility but I can't find a download. Is this software only available for
maintenance agreement?

I am unable to get the Caps Lock to work in Wavelink for Android using MC9200
I have a brand new MC92N0-GA0SYEAA6WR with Android. I am using Wavelink Terminal Emulation Version 2.0.16.4933
This is one of the first Android versions of the MC9200 that we have purchased. We hope to switch to these and move away from the Windows CE devices we have used exclusively. I am working to get the Android device operational in our environment and we require that the caps lock be engaged at all times when in Wavelink. I went to configure the emulation parameters and made sure Initial Caps Lock State was checked. I restarted Wavelink to have that change take effect, but when our login screen comes up, it is still all in lower case. I went back into the emulation parameters and saw that the change I made was still there. I decided to also check Initial Caps Lock State under VT Emulation. This still resulted in all lower case. I checked out one of our Windows handhelds and confirmed where I thought the Caps Lock was toggled in the Configuration Tool on my laptop. However, I was unable to find a location in the Wavelink software on the handheld where Caps Lock was toggled. Our Windows devices do work though. Caps is always engaged. I am not sure what I am missing with the Android device. Is this something that simply cannot be changed in the Wavelink client? Any help would be appreciated. I found out we have 55 of these Android handhelds on order so I need to find a solution.

Cannot get script working (multiple conditions)
Hi there,
I kindly ask you for some help because I'm stuck on a script for a customer.
My conditions work fine when alone, everytime I try to combine my conditions, i won't have any output when scanning (bulding the script returns no error).

Barcode Scan Outputs Special Characters Instead of Numbers
Hello,
We have 2 mobile computer scanners that are behaving oddly. If we make a remote desktop connection to the terminal server of our vendor software, if we scan within that software, the string returned does not match the expected value; it appears to turn some numbers into special characters, and the order of characters has been changed. In one example, a barcode with string "U558220345" gets output as "5582@)#$U%". The scan returns normal when I am not inside the remote connection. I contacted the vendor about this; their rep said that, while they have seen this problem before, the issue is not with their software, but with the configuration of the scanner.
I see that the Avalanche has a "Scan Config" menu item, but I'm not familiar with Avalanche at all, and I'm trying to find a way to determine why the barcode data is being "scrambled" as it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
