Play beep sound
Hi,
I tried two options to play a beep sound when an error occurs in SAP ITS mobile.
1. BGSOUND
2. IDA_BEEP.
Both did not play the beep sound on the velocity browser on Intermec CK71 RF device. But, both played the sound when I used the internet explorer on Intermec CK71 RF device!
Please let me know if need to use something else to play sound.

Cannot get script working (multiple conditions)
Hi there,

Restore on New box with same IP address?
Recently just tried moving Avalanche MC from a Windows XP box to a Windows Server 2008 R2 box. I took a backup on the XP box of the MC, and restored it on the Server 2008 R2 box. The restore was successful, but my Mobile Device Server is saying offline. Note, I did power off the old box, and the new box is set to the IP address of the old one. Is there a settings file that I am missing that I need to change the IP address on the new box? When I put the new box on DHCP and fire-up the old box, the Mobile device server connects which seems to me like it connecting to the old box. Any help?

Unable to Activate License
I am trying to Activate my licenses in Wavelink and get teh error Activated to many times.
The Server that they were originally installed on has crashed and required a rebuild. Am I able to re-use these licenses?

Wavelink Starting Automatically
Hello
We have a Motorola Symbol MC9090 and from some days ago the WaveLink software started to start automatically and I don't know how to return to the Windows Mobile main screen to access the other programs. I tried to restart the machine but it didn't work. Now the only screen it shows is one written: No Host Connection <Enter> to Connect

Anyone knows how can I get out of this screen?

The taskbar is not visible in TelnetCE, even though I'm not hiding anything in the options tab. How can I get it back, so I cen get into the config menus
I'm using TelnetCE 7.3 with app center. When I go into TelnetCE, I lose the taskbar which contained the config menus.
So I can't change config or even exit the program. I'm force to cold boot to exit TelnetCE. I'm do not have any
options in the 'options' tab checked, so nothing should be hidden. How can I get it back?

TelnetCE Problems on Motorola 9090
Hello,
This is my first post and I could do with some help
We use Wavelink TelnetCE software on the handheld RDTs in our warehouse.
The Handhelds a Motorola/Symbol 9190 / 9090s
This talks back to our Warehouse Software Autostore on our Microsoft Cluster running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 via Pragma Telnet Server.
The devices have varying versions of TelnetCE from 5.11-43 to 7.3.146
A majority of the guns are configured to use DHCP on our WING wireless network – coverage is good across the warehouse.
We have severe problems with connectivity.
The guns always have good connection however the communication to and from the server can be extremely slow – making the gun appear to freeze at random points.
It would only appear to affect the guns that between access points.
I’ve tried a number of permutations with the settings but have had no luck in getting to the bottom of the problem.
Do you have any advice on how to monitor and debug this type of issues?
Is there anywhere I can get configuration advice?

TelnetCE Autologin Command Prompt not excecuted (return/enter not sent to the host)
Problem with Autologin feature which will stop and wait for user to press ENTER instead of executing command automatically.
Setup:
Wavelink TelnetCE - Host Profile - Autologin:
Name Prompt: "login:"
Name: "myuser1"
Password Prompt: "password:"
Password: "mypwd" (displayed as "*****"
Command Prompt: "domain:"
Command: "mydomain.com"
Result of connection test:
Autlogin correctly sets and executes login and password but for domain prompt only presets value "mydomain.com" and does not execute it (waits for user to press ENTER).
Expected result:
Return/ENTER is sent to host to execute the command.
Remarks:
The same problem occurs also for standard command (e.g. D:\MyApp\start.bat) when domain prompt is removed in the server setup.
Enviro:
Host: Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit, Georgia Softworks Telnet Server 8.05
Client: Motorola MC9190G, Windows Mobile 6.5, Wavelink TelnetCE 7.3.237 (latest available)

Barcode Scan Outputs Special Characters Instead of Numbers
Hello,
We have 2 mobile computer scanners that are behaving oddly. If we make a remote desktop connection to the terminal server of our vendor software, if we scan within that software, the string returned does not match the expected value; it appears to turn some numbers into special characters, and the order of characters has been changed. In one example, a barcode with string "U558220345" gets output as "5582@)#$U%". The scan returns normal when I am not inside the remote connection. I contacted the vendor about this; their rep said that, while they have seen this problem before, the issue is not with their software, but with the configuration of the scanner.
I see that the Avalanche has a "Scan Config" menu item, but I'm not familiar with Avalanche at all, and I'm trying to find a way to determine why the barcode data is being "scrambled" as it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

RDP for Windows CE6 - TelnetCE - Enabler - AvalancheMC
Hi, I've recently discovered hosting our Web based WMS on a Terminal Server optimizes device performance by 2 times.
Device specs:
Moto MC9190
Windows CE6
OEM 04.37
Enabler 5.3-46
To achieve this, my solution is to add a RDP shortcut on the Wavelink Enabler which will start the session to the terminal server.
Problems:
-CE6 is not designed to save RDP credentials after a cold boot (There is no way around this). I need auotmatic login for compliance reasons.
-A warm boot will sometimes erase the RDP credentials too. So this is my main road block.
Questions:
-Does anyone have experience with using RDP on Windows Mobile devices?
-Is it possible to configure Telnet Client Emulator to act as a Remote Desktop connection to connect to a server?
All I need it seems is to have a web page hosted on resources external from the Mobile device. The MC9190 does not have the resources optimally run a WMS web session.
-Once you think you have thought outside the box, you must think outside that box.
I'm open to questions.

How to hide input panel on Zebra MC9200 CE7.0

I would like to hide the input panel on a Zebra MC9200 CE7.0 handheld.
I did some settings, but the input panel still exists if I click to an input field. The hardware keyboard doesn't work - but this should be active.
Does anybody know the correct registry settings?

Need to install customer application to the above Intermec CK3X device. Customer application is cabbed up but does not automatically install.
Would anyone be able to suggest method to install this cab automatically on this intermec device? I was thinking create package(via package builder) and use the wceload.exe cmd in the post install script. But, wceload.exe is not visible on the device so not sure if this will work or not. i do know there is another method with intermec devices where you can copy the cab to the flashfilestore\cabfiles folder and reboot the device. this installs the cab file successfully. not sure how to code this in the package builder. any assistance would be appreciated.

Silent Install and Config of Wavelink TE for Windows
How do I silently/unattendedly install the Wavelink TE client software for Windows and then apply my current config? I know that the installer is an NSIS installer and often times the /S switch works, but in this case it only quiets down some of the prompts- not all. Also, not sure how to automatically apply my .wltna file for configuration of the client.
Documentation not helpful. If the response includes anything about using Avalanche, please keep it to yourself.

MC9290 1D Scanner with Android OS - Using Avalanche Configurator - The handheld is unable to scan QR Codes due to being a 1D scanner.
How can I get preset configs pushed to the handheld without manually having to configure each device?
For example, we setup key macros for our devices. Instead of manually setting these up in the software, we have scanned a QR Code to get these setup on the device. This worked fine with the TC70 because it had a 2D imager. How is this supposed to work with a device that has a 1D beam?

Motorola 3190Z don't read all the RFID tags
Hi...
with your help I found some solutions to my problems and started to use our Motorola 3190Z handheld, but now I found another little problems with the tags number read by RFID.
I use Telnet CE connected to an iSeries, and I created a program on it that show a video format where there's a field over write the tags datas read by RFID.
I start the program and than enable the RFID reader. All OK!
Start the trigger for to read 138 tags in a cartoon box with 400mm. X 400mm. X 600mm. dimensions and the handheld starts to read them. Every tags readed go to my field on video and automatically wrote in an iSeries database, but here start the problem. It stops its reading operations sometimes at 128, 134, 135, 136, and sometimes the right 138.
I'm near the box, I tried over it, aroung it, at a distance maximum of 50mm. but nothing change. It doesn't read always the right number of tags.
I don't know if the problem is about the passage of the data from iSeries video to database, too slow for the cache of the handheld or if there's a way to calibrate better the reader.
