I have previously only used Windows CE but we are looking at rolling out Android devices. We are using the Telnet Emulation App and was wondering the best way to copy the configuration so i can deploy it to other devices. Eg Font sizes, Host settings etc.

I pushed a package to install DataWedge on a CK71 device but am not able to run DataWedge (it remains in Idle mode). What am I missing? The scanner port is enabled and I have tried turning scanwedge on/off.
Hi i'm having difficulties using function keys with Motorola WT41N0 Telnet CE 7.3.192 and VT200 emulation. Random charachtes or error message key not recognized is diplayed if i'm trying to use Function keys (F1; F2 etc.) Any ideas?
Hi, I've recently discovered hosting our Web based WMS on a Terminal Server optimizes device performance by 2 times.
Device specs:
Moto MC9190
Windows CE6
OEM 04.37
Enabler 5.3-46
To achieve this, my solution is to add a RDP shortcut on the Wavelink Enabler which will start the session to the terminal server.
Problems:
-CE6 is not designed to save RDP credentials after a cold boot (There is no way around this). I need auotmatic login for compliance reasons.
-A warm boot will sometimes erase the RDP credentials too. So this is my main road block.
Questions:
-Does anyone have experience with using RDP on Windows Mobile devices?
-Is it possible to configure Telnet Client Emulator to act as a Remote Desktop connection to connect to a server?
All I need it seems is to have a web page hosted on resources external from the Mobile device. The MC9190 does not have the resources optimally run a WMS web session.
-Once you think you have thought outside the box, you must think outside that box.
I'm open to questions.

i'm using a ZEBRA TC55 and the Velocity WEB for Android (Version 1.2.110.17249).
In our web application we capture and upload pictures by using html5 file upload api / javascript:

When using a chrome browser on the device it works perfectly.
The following dialog will show up and we can take a picture and upload it.
When using Velocity WEB nothing happen...
Anyone got a solution for taking/upload pictures on a website by using velocity web?

The login and password are working fine, but the command is not being executed. I'm wandering what i should fill on the command prompts/responses fields, in order to get this done.
Basically what i need, is that whenever the client connects to my server, an specific BAT file must run automatically.

My devices are running 24/ 7 / 365.
After around 2 days the answers and reactions of the device are slower as on the first day.
A "good scan" needs time , the comming new website also
After around 3 days most devices have no reaction - if they in sleep mode I did not get them back alive.
We found out - IE cache is full !
The switch inside TB - WEB Clear Cache and und WEB Clear Cookies have only on time a effect - at the start.
Our device running all time - stop the session and exit Wavelink isn´t allow for the workers.
MC 9190
- germany and englisch OS - 1.34 // 2.41 same .
- Wavelink 7.3.206 and 7.3.196 -> older same effect
any idea ?

So I have another scenario. I currently have Zebra WT6000 with RS6000 scanner my issue is the scanner won't scan UPC-A labels. I already added "Zebra" scanner profiles in Velocity. But when I exit in Velocity to test the scanner in Scan Demo, it will perfectly scan all types of barcodes. I played around and stumbled that in DataWedge under Velocity profile there is an Intent Output setting. If you unchecked this, you are able to scan the UPC-A labels in Velocity application. But the problem is, after a while it will overwrite it and checked it again on its own. I tried to look for a setting in Velocity side to disable this function permanently but I can’t seem to find one. One more thing, I tried to delete the scanner profile in Velocity side but it will create one in DataWedge.
Is my assumption is correct that this is the culprit? Can someone show me how can I disable/uncheck the intent output setting permanently? If not, can someone help me solve my issue?

I had a preinstalled TelnetCE license on a Symbol handheld device that was sent off for repair. When we received the device back from repair, the os had been flashed and reinstalled so the pre-installed license is no longer there, and TelnetCE only works in demo mode. Is there a way to correct this issue since the device should still have a valid license for the TelnetCE?

with your help I found some solutions to my problems and started to use our Motorola 3190Z handheld, but now I found another little problems with the tags number read by RFID.
I use Telnet CE connected to an iSeries, and I created a program on it that show a video format where there's a field over write the tags datas read by RFID.
I start the program and than enable the RFID reader. All OK!
Start the trigger for to read 138 tags in a cartoon box with 400mm. X 400mm. X 600mm. dimensions and the handheld starts to read them. Every tags readed go to my field on video and automatically wrote in an iSeries database, but here start the problem. It stops its reading operations sometimes at 128, 134, 135, 136, and sometimes the right 138.
I'm near the box, I tried over it, aroung it, at a distance maximum of 50mm. but nothing change. It doesn't read always the right number of tags.
I don't know if the problem is about the passage of the data from iSeries video to database, too slow for the cache of the handheld or if there's a way to calibrate better the reader.

Is this a problem or should it work without a problem?

Is there any setting in the emulation parameters that will assist to zoom the screen display?
I've tried playing around with the viewport settings, but this did not help.
I'm trying to avoid making changes to my EWM setup to get the screen to display bigger.
