RS507 bluetooth scanner locking up
I am using a Zebra WT41N0 and a RS507 bluetooth scanner, I am also using a TE applications and an AS400 has the host. The issue that I am having is that the user will be working and moving along just fine, they scan a barcode and then nothing happens, the scanner will not product a beam. When I remove and reinsert the battery I get the start up LED's and then it goes back to doing nothing. The only way to fix it is to have the user log out and then reboot the terminal and pair it again. Also the user will be working and the pairing barcode will pop up for unknown reason and asked to be paired again. I tested it with a fully charged battery and it happened to be. I put the scanner in pick list mode and enabled the low battery warnings but I did not get any warnings about battery getting low. Are there any ideas of what could be happening? Thanks

Automatic carriage return with wavelink
Hello,
I use the wavelink TelnetCE Version 7.0.01 on a Windows CE (Motorola MC9100). Is there an option in the wavelink software for an automatic carriage return? I think about a putty client. With a putty client I can change the size from the terminal windows and at the end of a line putty makes an automaticc carriage return.
Is that also possible with wavelink TelnetCE?

Play beep sound
Hi,
I tried two options to play a beep sound when an error occurs in SAP ITS mobile.
1. BGSOUND
2. IDA_BEEP.
Both did not play the beep sound on the velocity browser on Intermec CK71 RF device. But, both played the sound when I used the internet explorer on Intermec CK71 RF device!
Please let me know if need to use something else to play sound.

Issue Enter After Barcode Scan
Hello:
I am currently testing a Zebra WT6000 and an RS6000 ring scanner. I have set up a project within the Velocity Console (Ver. 1.2.101) and have deployed that project to the WT6000. When I scan a barcode, I need to issue and Enter key and am not sure how to do this. DataWedge is also installed on the WT6000 with a Velocity Profile and I have enabled Send ENTER key in the basic data formatting. However, when I exit the DataWedge application it does not seem to save that information.

Telnet CE 7.3 RFID on MC3190Z
Hello
I have 3 new MC3190Z with TelnetCE 7.3 installed. I am adding the VT220 instructions to the server to capture the tags read.
All of the TelnetCE RFID configuration options are at the defaults except for:
RFID Insert Mode is set to 'When Detected"
I send Esc("$C") to the reader to clear the tag memory
I send Esc("$1;0R") to enable the reader and not request a reply.
I then wait for the reader to reply with the tag information
The user pulls the trigger and starts scanning.. The reader replies with the 24 character hex tag information as the tags are read.
How do I sense when the user has released the trigger so I can start processing?

Wavelink MC3190Z : RSSI and Read Count
I am using Wavelink TE to handle RFID reader on MC3190Z. I checked the parameters Wavelink permits to use regarding RFID management. I am quite surprise that standard parameters such as RFID Session are not available in the emulation parameters.
Does someone a solution that permit the manipulation of RSSI and Read Count in Wavelink ?

TelnetCE Problems on Motorola 9090
Hello,
This is my first post and I could do with some help
We use Wavelink TelnetCE software on the handheld RDTs in our warehouse.
The Handhelds a Motorola/Symbol 9190 / 9090s
This talks back to our Warehouse Software Autostore on our Microsoft Cluster running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 via Pragma Telnet Server.
The devices have varying versions of TelnetCE from 5.11-43 to 7.3.146
A majority of the guns are configured to use DHCP on our WING wireless network – coverage is good across the warehouse.
We have severe problems with connectivity.
The guns always have good connection however the communication to and from the server can be extremely slow – making the gun appear to freeze at random points.
It would only appear to affect the guns that between access points.
I’ve tried a number of permutations with the settings but have had no luck in getting to the bottom of the problem.
Do you have any advice on how to monitor and debug this type of issues?
Is there anywhere I can get configuration advice?

Datawedge Cold Boot resistant
Hello,
how is it possible to create a package for the motorola Datawedge on devices with oem Version < 3.37 (from this version, the datawedge is preinstalled in the os rom)
that is cold boot resistant, so it can be used after a cold boot again ?
Datawedge, e.g. 3.6.16 comes as an *cab file, so the file is automatic deleted after installation.

Wavelink Starting Automatically
Hello
We have a Motorola Symbol MC9090 and from some days ago the WaveLink software started to start automatically and I don't know how to return to the Windows Mobile main screen to access the other programs. I tried to restart the machine but it didn't work. Now the only screen it shows is one written: No Host Connection <Enter> to Connect
Follow a screen shot attached to this discussion.
Anyone knows how can I get out of this screen?

"Scanner Selection" Do you want to use the scanner "Bluetooth SSI Scanner Driver" instead of the Default scanner "External SSI"
I have to hit no to continue with the connection Profile.

Problem with the deinstallation of the Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 application
I am currently about to deinstall / install the Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 application on our Motorola MC9100 device. In order to achieve this, I have already tried the following measures without any success:
(1) Deinstallation via the Motorola Wavelink Application (Application & Config):
After having executed the deinstallation process I get the following error message despite the fact, that the application is already installed on the device:
"Update failed. Unable to determine install directory. Please verify that the product is installed on the device."
(2) Deinstallation via the remove programs menu on the scanner
It is written on the screen: "Programs in storage memory: Wavelink TelnetCE 7378". I mark the entry. Afterwards I click on "remove". After having clicked on "remove" the following error appears:
"Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 was not completely removed. Do you want to remove it from the list of installed programs?" Then I click on "yes" but nothing happens.
(3) Reinstallation of the client via the "Application & Config" button on the application:
The reinstallation process starts. However I get the following error messages on the screen:
"The previous version of Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 will be removed before the new one is installed. Select OK to continue or cancel to quit". I click on "OK". After three seconds the following error message appears:
"The previous version of Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 cannot be removed. Do you want to continue installing Wavelink TelnetCE 7378?" Here I click on yes. Then the following message appears:
"Installation of Wavelink TelnetCE 7378.cab was unsuccessful."
(4) Restarting of the Scanner and the following of the reinstallation / deinstallation measures (Bullet points 1 - 3) as described above after the scanners’ reboot was also not successful
(5) The deinstallation of the Wavelink Application and the following of the reinstallation / deinstallation measures (Bullet points 1 - 3) as described above after the scanners’ reboot was also not successful
So I have now tried five possibilities to solve the problem. Do you have any other hints regarding the solution of this issue?

The taskbar is not visible in TelnetCE, even though I'm not hiding anything in the options tab. How can I get it back, so I cen get into the config menus
I'm using TelnetCE 7.3 with app center. When I go into TelnetCE, I lose the taskbar which contained the config menus.
So I can't change config or even exit the program. I'm force to cold boot to exit TelnetCE. I'm do not have any
options in the 'options' tab checked, so nothing should be hidden. How can I get it back?

Where are Avalanche licenses actually stored? In the DB or in the installation directory somewhere?
I understand that the licenses are added through the web console (6.x) and are visible in the same area, but where are they actually being stored? I am curious to know, based on a DR planning effort.

Documentation for .cab installation on Intermec devices.
In the new version of the enabler for Intermec CN50 v5.3-30 there is also released an .CAB version.
But where can I find the documentation on how to use it?
The release note say that it is possible to disable the scan to config. But how?
- To aid with direct CAB installation, the automatic Scan Config prompt for initial server address and Wi-Fi settings
is now enabled by default. This behavior can be disabled if necessary.
And how do I preconfigure the Avalanche server address?
