When trying to connect to an host the application stops and presents in dialog box error: Unfortunately, Terminal Emulation has stopped. In Velocity i get exactly the same, only shows: Unfortunately, Velocity has stopped.

I am able to connect using TN3270 or TN5250 emulation to an other host.

Only alternative telnet emulator that works is Glink (competitor's product)

 

But my warehouse WMS is the host i need to connect to.

This has never been an problem before on WindowsCE devices in MC9xxxx series of Symbol (later Motorola, now Zebra) with Wavelink software for over 20 years now.

Since Windows is or will go end of life for these type of devices, i need an working solution on Android based scanners.

 

Tested on MC92N0 (Kitkat 4.4.4) and also on an demo Zebra TC8000 (Kitkat 4.4.3) provided by my supplier but got exact same result/error.

I already made an support ticket here with Ivanti, and with Zebra support, without any succes to date.

Who knows maybe here reads this, and has the same problem, and even better, someone who has an solution or at least suggestions.

 

I've used:

 

WavelinkTE v2.0.18.4977 (newest to date)

Velocity 1.0 / 1.2 / 2.0 ( 2.0 is newest to date)

Good morning,

is there a possibility to scroll up and down my screen when i'm using a wavelink 5250 emulation ?

 

I can't use any combination of keys or the up/down specific keys.

Hello,

 

we are experiencing problem with VelocityCE running on Datalogic Falcon X3+.

We installed appropriate client from Wavelink download page.

We also installed VelocityCE server on Xeon machine with Windows 2012 server OS.

Device reaches velocity server but nothing is displayed, after some time there's "Reconnecting" on the client.

We checked log on the server and it looks like that there's some problem with java script on the page.

That web page loads normally on IE or Chrome, from the machine where Velocity server is installed.

When we tested few months ago it worked without problem, so we can't figure out what is going on...

VelocityCE server log is in attachment.

Hello:

I am currently testing a Zebra WT6000 and an RS6000 ring scanner. I have set up a project within the Velocity Console (Ver. 1.2.101) and have deployed that project to the WT6000. When I scan a barcode, I need to issue and Enter key and am not sure how to do this. DataWedge is also installed on the WT6000 with a Velocity Profile and I have enabled Send ENTER key in the basic data formatting. However, when I exit the DataWedge application it does not seem to save that information.

Hello there,

I'm using TelnetCE 7366 and I'm trying to exit the emulation (5250 or VT) with a datalogic Skorpio keybord. I tried FN ALT x but it doesn't works. I have to make a specific macro? if so how do that ?

Customer have problems with new buyied licenses. Devices have added licenses, but they can’t activate. Customer see on screen:

„Attempting to Contact a license server on the local segment……….TIMED OUT”

 

He try do like on this:

but it don’t work.

 

How he can solve this problem?

 

He told also that previous version of wavelink automatically connect to external server to retrieve license. But this version don’t do this.

i need to use DATALOGIC FALCON X3 connected to an As400 via 5250 emulator .. i don't understand how to configure keyboard key (not virtual keyboard) so that i can emulate "ENTER" and "Exit fields"  keys  tipical for As400

using Telnet Wavelink rel. 7.3.247 on the MC92N0 5250, pressing the Ctrl + J / L keys, the ROLL UP / DW function will not work.

where am I wrong?

hello everyone, i have been searching the forums and im sorry if this has already been answered, but i must ask again.

 

 

We have a Fleet of about 1000 Zebra MC40 Android Devices.

 

We had a 3rd party vendor use stage now to image the devices and install a android application on the device.
We finally needed to upgrade that application to a newer version, so we packaged the apk and pushed it out and the upgrade went great..
Unfortunately the software was extremely unstable and we had to back out.

 

We disabled the profile that we built for a small test group of devices and then tried to push back out the older version but it would not install.

 

Im guessing because the new version that was on the device is 5.4 and the old version is 5.0

 

Based on what i read online android by default doesn't allow a unattended down grade.

 

we had to go back and re image said devices but i would like to know if anyone has ran into this and if they have a potential solution in case we run into it again.

Hi
The switch between sessions, is very long on a CV31 Ce7.0. Version TE 7.3.296. I clocked, and it's over 30 seconds each time. Despite the disabling of network support, the problem remains unresolved. An idea ?
CV31 + SR61B + Wavelink TelnetCE 7.3.256- 4 VT sessions.

PS: I tried the universal version, and no problem switch but problems reading Bluetooth SR61B scanner.

Hello

ii worked before on cn70 and telnetce, but now i received new intermec cn51.

Installed:

WLTE_UNI_WM65_LANG_7_3_225_AS.exe

on telnetCE, barcode scanner dont write data, outside TelnetCE screen, works fine

 

changed this parameters but no luck

Emulation Parameters:

    1. Scanner then Common and "Disable Scanner" to YES

    2. Scanner then Common and "Use Scanner As Keyboard Wedge" to ENABLE

 

could you help me?

Hi i'm having difficulties using function keys with Motorola WT41N0 Telnet CE 7.3.192 and VT200 emulation. Random charachtes or error message key not recognized is diplayed if i'm trying to use Function keys (F1; F2 etc.) Any ideas?

Hello all,

 

we have change from Motorola to Zebra Warkabout pro 4.

We use telnet ce 7.3 and we need the F7 and F9 Button.

If i press the Button, no function with CTRL with blue FN no reaction.

so i have do from a other forum,edit the emulationparameters.i must press the 7 button 1sek to press F7.

it‘s work but it is not the best solution.

i want use the F7 With the blue FN Button,what can i do?

Dear all,

I would like to know if anyone has made a new install of Avalanche 6.2?

I've attempted this on my PC (Windows 8.1 SQL Server 2012 existing SQL instance) and also Win server 2012 and SQL server - a new machine with nothing installed on it - just Windows server - on which I installed SQL server 2012 and created new instance.

On both machines, the installation is done, during it, Ava install asks for DB connection credential and server which are on the same machine, creates Avalanche Databases.

When installation finished, it's not possible to launch http console; Enterprise server service is stopped, and eache time we try to start is, it fall dows after few seconds with the following error in the logs (colored red):

I'm using TelnetCE 7.3 with app center.  When I go into TelnetCE, I lose the taskbar which contained the config menus.

So I can't change config or even exit the program.  I'm force to cold boot to exit TelnetCE.  I'm do not have any

options in the 'options' tab checked, so nothing should be hidden.  How can I get it back?

Hi

 

I've a question regarding user account in Wavelink Avalanche 6.1.

 

There is a LDAP connection having been made and works OK.

 

Is there a limit number of users account that could be manages in Avalanche as after a while and some user accounts created, there no possibility to log-in with the last created users??

 

Any comment, suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hello, I try to activate a license TelnetCE on Motoral device via Lisence Server.

My steps:

 

1. I installed Licence Server on computer and then I added licences.

 

2. I installed a client on Motorola device with license server settings as :146.212.32.15:1820

 

3. When I launch a terminal, it stucks in atteption to connect server.

 

 

 

The version 7.3 matched for both: server lisence and version of client.

 

In log file I see connection log:

What does unlicensed devices mean? Those devices can not get a license.
