SCRIPT PROBLEM ABOUT RFID
I’m a programmer who is working on your Wavelink Telnet CE product and I would to ask you about a problem in scripting code.
My customer own some Motorola MC319Z handhelds and asked me to configure a connection to their As400 and read some RFID Tags and put the datas in a blank field of their program.
I did the connection without any problem, as a 3477-FC emulator and entered in the emulation parameters to enable RFID functions, in ENABLE RFID key with Yes, in ENABLE KEY with <0x79> the F10 key in hexadecimal, in INSERT MODE with Auto-Detect, and USE TRIGGER with Yes.
I tried using it and when I arrive at the right screen of the program I press F10 on the keyboard of the handheld (not the keyboard of the emulator) and RFID start to read when I push the handheld read button, passing to my screen the tags read. It works correctly!
I also tried to create a script that, when reached the right screen of the program, it press automatically F10 using the code KEYPRESS_KEY <0x79> my F10 key but, it don’t works, this don’t enable the RFID reader.
When I did it manually it works perfectly and I receive a message on the screen that told me the number of tags read and put the tags on the field I use, but if I try to use the script, when KEYPRESS-KEY work, it do only a beep but no one message about RFID enable and create problems about the use of the emulator keyboard.
My script is a simple:
Script( RFID_MAN )
Profile( As400 )
Activate( From_Menu )
Keypress_Key( 0x79 )
Return
But it don’t press the F10 like I could do on the handheld keyboard. There’s something wrong in my code?
I would to enable RFID reader by script code and after the tags read end disable it.

How to have loudly sound on MC3190?

Motorola MC9190: enabler splash screen displayed for long time if task bar auto hide is setting
-Device Motorola MC9190G
-Enabler version 5.3.59
Description:
At system boot, task bar is setting "auto hide" via AutoHide.reg file located in \Application directory.
the file content is:

With this setting, the enabler splash screen is shown for 100 sec.
Without auto hide setting, the enabler splash screen is shown for 10 sec.

What is to do when we want to move AvalancheMC to another server?
Old server has Server 2003 installed, we have to move to Server 2012.
New server has another IP adress.
Got a valid backup, but not sure if all that we need to restore on a new server is in there.

5250 emulator issues with WT41N0 devices
We have purchased several WT41N0 devices in the last 4 months. It seems like ALL of them are having issues with the telnet client in some way or another. The user will be in the middle of a telnet session and them emulator suddenly closes. OR, another issue is the scanner. The user will be using the emulator and the scanner suddenly quits working. Exiting and going back into the emulator fixes it.
Has anyone had these troubles and how did you fix?

How to take over a Wavelink configuration
Hello, I have some Motorola MC9100 and I'd like to take over the configuration from one device to another device. I heard that I could copy the Termcfg.bin from the application\wavelink folder (via Active Sync) to another MC9100 but that don't work. If I looked in the Termcfg.bin I didn't find my configuration profile.
In which file is the configured profile from my Wavelink Telnet (Version 7.3.40) saved?
Another possibiltiy to take over the profile should be the Wavelink TelnetCE Configuration Utility but I can't find a download. Is this software only available for
maintenance agreement?

Disable Scanner Selection Windows on TelnetCE Startup
Anyone know how I can do this? When I Start TelnetCE a windows comes up
"Scanner Selection" Do you want to use the scanner "Bluetooth SSI Scanner Driver" instead of the Default scanner "External SSI"
I have to hit no to continue with the connection Profile.

NOrmal users don't see mobile device inventory and mobile devices at all
Hi,
we have our customer, BENNET SPA, where we upgraded Avalanche SE fron V. 4.9 to 5.3: in the new release, if we create new accounts from "Tools->User Management", with "Normal" user type (not Administrator), these users are not able to see and manage mobile devices, although we flagged the correct user permissions under the "Inventory Section" (see below). I tried also in my Avalanche SE 5.3 Demo Virtual machine, with the same results (Windows Server 8 R2). Also tried from web console: (it is the same), and with LDAP users.
Please help!

Function keys with WT41N0 Telnet CE 7.3.192 VT220 emulation
Hi i'm having difficulties using function keys with Motorola WT41N0 Telnet CE 7.3.192 and VT200 emulation. Random charachtes or error message key not recognized is diplayed if i'm trying to use Function keys (F1; F2 etc.) Any ideas?

Enabler 5.3-38 set country code for WT41N0

I have tried to set the country code with Enabler on Motorola WT41N0
but it doesn't work.
In the enabler I have added this registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wavelink Unified Network Interface\DDI
"CountryCode"=FR ( and I have also tried FRA )
but the country code never change
The only thing that is works is the 802.11d and the wireless profile

Avalanche came pre-installed on new equipment; WHAT IS IT?
I apologize if this is the dumbest question y'all have ever heard, but I don't know what this software is. We purchased new Datalogic Elf units running Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5. Among other icons on the Start menu is one labeled 'Wavelink Avalanche'. If I click it, it tries to 'check TCP' and then complains about not finding an agent. This is also the response I get when I try most of the 'View' options. The Menu / Settings option prompts for a password, but I can't find it in the Elf's manual.
In short, what can I do with this program? The Wavelink web page isn't really very clear about exactly what it does, describing it in vague, general terms with no details. Does the app do anything on its own or does it require a server component? Is there value in leaving this on the units or should I delete it?

The LDMS user has insufficient permissions. User must be a member of the Windows "LANDesk Management Suite" user group and has permissions for managing mobility .
When trying to connect Avalanche (Mobility) to the Core, I get the error in the title, now I have added the user to the "LANdesk Management Group" and to the "LANdesk Administrators" and still the same error.
Support requested to have me reinstall SP1, which I have done twice, still not working, can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Any Idea?
